.co.hooray

First post in a while and it's yet another egocentric one. You may have noticed a change in blog title as well - I think I'm getting a bit old for cheap alliteration (still up for a bit of crappy word play in the post titles ^). You'll be happy to hear it's still the same self-centred babble that would annoy the hell out of me if it wasn't about... me.

So I'm basically updating you on my 'journey' (word used with a hefty amount of disdain) into my life as a proper person of the 21st Century. What with Blogs and Facebook and more recently Twitter the next logical step was to get my very own website. So today I designed and built a website called www.teaganlucas.co.uk, follow the link. It's a work in progress, most of what I've written isn't thought through, more something to fill the pages than anything else.

I designed the website on weebly.com and bought the domain name off a website called heartinternet.com. I pondered for a while whether to buy the domain 'teaganlucas', because I don't know whether I'll always be called Teagan. My thinking behind possibly not always having this name is that I have a love hate relationship with my name. Because it is predominantly a girls name I often get into awkward situations meeting people who have preconceptions on how I might look/what sex I am. But after pondering I decided fuck it, Teagan is my parent given name and I'll wear it proudly till I die.

That tough decision over with... it was about £6 to buy the domain name for two years (inc. VAT), which I think is a bloody good deal. I designed the site for free on the fore-mentioned site. It's not the best place to make websites, I'd of liked to make it on Dreamweaver but it is harder to set up a host, whereas Weebly host it for you. I guess it's not so bad if you know how to fiddle around with HTML and CSS (not the band), which I have a little knowledge of (mis-spent myspace youth). All I really did was take a layout, muck about with the colours a bit and get rid of the banner that rudely announced 'designed and hosted by Weebly'.

But really go check it out. If you're reading this from the future, which of course you are (only I'm reading it in the present), and if your hands haven't fallen off due to radiation poisoning or alternatively you're not having too much fun on your hoverboards, check it out. I might have written something interesting by now.

www.teaganlucas.co.uk

So yeah. That was pretty much the dullest blog post I've ever done. I hope you feel cheated.

Here is some American kid to inject some prozac into these prosaic passages. Pow.
